Microsoft Security Patch Announced

Microsoft issued a security patch for Internet Explorer on May 1. The security patch is to address the vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer that were recently announced by Microsoft.

If you have automatic updates enabled, this security patch will download and apply automatically. No action is needed.

If you don’t have automatic updates enabled, Microsoft recommends enabling this feature. (You can learn how to do this here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/turn-automatic-updating-on-off#turn-automatic-updating-on-off=windows-7)

If you have to manually update your system, Microsoft has issued guidelines in a security bulletin: https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/ms14-021

If you use Internet Explorer to view any of our products, XAP recommends making sure you have automatic updates enabled, or that you download the updates immediately.
