Happy Thanksgiving to our U.S. subscribers!
And if you’re not in the U.S., you may be budgeting for the holiday anyways. A recent report stated that up to 80 percent of surveyed Canadians plan to buy something on Black Friday or Cyber Monday (that’s the day when marketers are trying to encourage us to shop online).
It’s also National Novel Writing Month, Movember for moustache growers, and National Pomegranate Month. We know everyone is busy with pumpkins and pomegranates, but we want to propose another November holiday: Declutter Your Reports Month.
A lot of our subscribers tell us they have mysterious accounts or portfolios on their systems. After all, students and clients move, graduate and create duplicate accounts on a regular basis. That can create extra data and lead to confusing reports. It’s unwanted clutter – and nobody needs that in November after so much shopping.
Have you ever seen one of those television shows in which a cleaning crew digs a family out of a pile of rubble? Piles of dirty dishes and unwashed socks vanish in a neatly packaged episode.
Many XAP sites have similar simplicity. It’s possible to clean up your accounts quickly and painlessly.
Before life gets even busier, take a few minutes to review your accounts or portfolios. Release or delete the ones that are no longer required at your site. You’ll be thankful you did! If you’ve created groups you no longer need, let them go.
